Prof SP Kalantri, MD, MPH is Director-Professor of Medicine at the
Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (MGIMS), Sevagram,
Maharashtra. Dr Kalantri did his medical training and medicine residency
from the Government Medical College Nagpur. He obtained MD in 1981
and joined Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences Sevagram
(MGIMS), where he has been working for four decades.
At MGIMS, Dr Kalantri heads an internal medicine unit, teaches medical
students and residents, and conducts clinical research. Between 2009 and
2022, he also served as the Medical Superintendent of the 1000-bed
teaching hospital. In 2004, supported by funding from the Fogarty AIDS
International Training Program, he completed Masters in Public Health
(MPH) from the School of Public Health, University of California, Berkeley.
Dr Kalantri edited MFC bulletin (1989-92) and was associate editor of the Indian Journal of Medical
Ethics (2001-2004). His general interests include evidence-based medicine, medical
ethics, public health, and palliative care. His research is mainly focused on the accuracy of diagnostic tests.
At MGIMS, Dr Kalantri successfully campaigned against sponsorship of medical conferences by drug industry
and introduced low-cost drugs in the hospital. In 2004, he helped the hospital design a digital Hospital
Information System. Over the years, the system showed that quick access to accurate data and improved
work efficiency leads to better and faster clinical decisions, hospitalwide.
More recently, Dr Kalantri was involved in designing scientific policies for the management
of Covid. He was extensively interviewed by the media for his views on a variety of issue related to covid care.
Mr. Anupam Sharma
Brigadier Anupam Sharma was commissioned in Army in Jun 1987 and has been a
consistent high performer in his career. Professionally well rounded, the officer has
held diverse operational and instructional appointments in his career, under different
operational and terrain conditions. A graduate of Defence Services Staff College
and Higher Command course in India, the officer was also selected to attend Joint
Forces Staff College in U.S, where he was the only international officer to be
awarded Distinguished grading. Among civil qualifications, the officer is M.Phil in
Defence & Management, Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management,
Post Graduate Diploma in Training & Development and has also done Executive
Program in Business Management from MDI, Gurgaon.
The officer has also been the nodal agency for coordination of Armed Forces efforts
towards disaster management, both within and outside the country. Apart from
handling humanitarian assistance & disaster relief operations during floods in
Kerala, Southern Maharashtra and Indonesian earthquake/tsunami, the officer was
Point of Contact from Armed Forces during COVID-19, during which he
coordinated evacuation flights from Wuhan, Iran, Japan, etc and set up over 50
isolation centres for the evacuees.
The officer was also responsible for analysing necessity of international logistics
agreements with like-minded nations and identifying critical areas of cooperation,
towards furtherance of national policy goals.
After superannuating from Army, the officer is pursuing a career in academics..
Mr. Uday Dube has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from
IIT Kanpur with a post-graduation from University of
Melbourne.
He specialises in development and delivery of transport
infrastructure with experience in on major projects in
Asia, Africa, Europe, Americas and Australia. He has
held senior leadership position on both the private and
public sectors. Uday is from Bhopal and currently lives
onMelbourne, Australia.
Dr. Sanjay Shrivastava
President (Dilip Buildcon Ltd.), BE, M.Tech, PHD Dr. Sanjay Kumar Shrivastava holds
a BE degree in Civil (Structures) Engineering, and has more than 30 years of
experience, has also completed MTech in Energy & Environment Management,
and PhD in Soil Stabilization with Societies Waste. He had worked with top leading
consultancy organizations namely, Gherzi Eastern Ltd., LASA, SPAN, etc., and had
also worked with countries top EPC organizations namely, Dilip Buildcon Ltd, Chetak
Enterprises Ltd, Gammon Infrastructure Projects Ltd, Shriram EPC and Essel Infra
Project Ltd.
Mrs. Minakshi Khot
She is a person with multiple talents. She has devoted 36
years of her life to the field of education and has empowered many
students. She retired as a Physics teacher from Campion Higher
Secondary School for boys, Bhopal. She did not only teach physics to
the students but was always actively involved in many cultural and
extra curricular activities in the school. She has acquired a Bachelors
in Music and has a great passion for singing. She helped students in
coming out with great musical shows during her tenure in campaign
School. She loves painting and her expertise is in making beautiful
paintings from the old - discarded -wedding - cards. She was born
and brought up in Madhya Pradesh but is currently settled in a beautiful
hill station in Tamilnadu. She lives in Ooty with her daughter, son-in-law
and her granddaughter. She has three very charming pets at home.
After her retirement she has been looking forward to contribute to
the society and that is when she came across the Mitasha foundation.
She is happy to be a part of this organisation which is involved in
creating many positive changes in the society.
