From early childhood, we saw our parents helping others in whatever way possible as per the circumstances. This learning of being there for others and doing whatever is within our capabilities engendered a commitment to contributing to the society which has given us so much and continues to do so.
We, therefore, decided to focus on the two pillars that make a human being happy – good health and the ability to enhance one’s life via education. MITASHA aspires to reach out and help disadvantaged members of society to gain access to good health through healthcare initiatives and realize their potential through educational interventions.
Mit in Hindi [मीत] means friend or companion and Asha [आशा] means hope so MITASHA [मीताशा] is mitasha as, “FRIENDS OF HOPE/ COMPANION OF HOPE”. Our aim is to build a world that is both just and inclusive, where people from all walks of life can enjoy a life of security and dignity, and where hope is a universal sentiment.
Our Founders produced iron for the past five decades but Eight years ago they started working on iron in humans, as we found iron deficiency was affecting a huge population. One of the biggest challenges we face today is that of hidden hunger. Over 1/3 of the world’s population go to bed malnourished. Iron deficiency is the world’s largest nutritional challenge negatively impacting over 2.8 billion people.
We worked on it and now we strive to make humans free from iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia. Our value to others depends upon what value we add to their lives. When we are a source of joy and hope to others, our presence becomes more meaningful for them
